International Security
Al-Qaeda’s continued core strategy and disquieting leader-led trajectory
Al-Qaeda has withstood arguably the greatest international onslaught directed against a terrorist organisation in history, but it has survived for nearly a quarter of a century and continues to pursue a core strategy. AQIM’s existing –and disrupted– plans in –and from– the Sahel
The French military intervention in northern Mali has disrupted the Jihadist condominium that is being established there. Are North Korea’s Missile Threats Credible?
Despite continuous efforts by the international community to achieve the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, time is passing and working against this goal.
The EU’s Approach to Recent Developments in the Sahelian Terrorist Sanctuary
Helping to prevent the consolidation of a jihadist condominium in northern Mali, including support for regionally concerted military action, should lead Europeans to reflect on their own responsibility in the growth of terrorism in the area.
