Elcano Royal Institute ranked Western Europe’s ninth-best think tank and world’s 23rd in the International Relations category

The Elcano Royal Institute is Spain’s leading think tank, Western Europe’s ninth-best and the world’s 23rd in the Foreign Policy and International Relations category according to the 2017 Global Go To Think Tanks Index (GGTTI), released on an annual basis by the University of Pennsylvania.

This is an outstanding climb for the Elcano Royal Institute in relation to the 2016 edition, having gained seven places in the International Relations category and 10 in the list of best general-interest think tanks in Western Europe.

Furthermore, the Institute has moved up significantly in the category of world think tanks (including the US) and is now ranked 45th (of 171), gaining 40 positions.
