Ivanosca López-Valerio is Web Coordinator at the Elcano Royal Institute.
She currently leads the Institute’s website accessibility and optimisation project following the launch of the new Elcano web platform in 2022, while also coordinating its various content streams (Elcano Specials, publications and newsletters in Spanish and English).
Since 2009, she has coordinated the Institute’s different website migration, redesign and upgrading projects. Between 2012 and 2022, she oversaw the development and implementation of a range of digital services and initiatives, including the RSS subscription service, the mobile apps for iPhone and Android (now discontinued), the Institute’s internal CRM system, the Elcano Blog (merged with the website in 2024), and the web application of the Elcano Global Presence Index.
She managed the Institute’s social media strategy between 2011 and 2022. She also developed and coordinated ‘Conversaciones Elcano – #ElcanoTalks’ series held between 2013 and 2018, which explored trends in digital communication and politics, emerging technologies and their impact on international relations and Spain’s international projection.
She holds a BA in International Studies from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (officially recognised in Spain as equivalent to a degree in Political and Administrative Sciences), an MA in International Relations and Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid, and an MA in International Relations and African Studies from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
