Ivanosca López-Valerio is Digital Manager at the Elcano Royal Institute.
She currently leads the global optimisation project for the Elcano Website, following the launch of its new platform in 2022, in addition to coordinating its various types of content (Elcano Specials, publications, and newsletters in Spanish and English).
Since 2009, she has coordinated the different projects on the migration, redesign, and updating of the Elcano’s website. Between 2012 and 2022, she oversaw the development and implementation of several digital services and projects, including the website’s RSS subscription system, the iPhone and Android apps (now discontinued), the internal CRM, the Elcano Blog, and the web application of the Elcano Global Presence Index.
In the field of digital communication, she coordinated the strategy and action plans for social media (2011 to 2022) and developed ‘Conversaciones Elcano – #ElcanoTalks’, a series meetings on trends in digital and political communication, new technologies, and their impact on international relations and Spain’s external projection (held between 2013 and 2018).
She holds a BA in International Studies from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (Political Science and Administration). She also holds a master’s degree in international relations and communication from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master’s degree in international relations and African Studies from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
