Venue: Casa de América
Tuesday, 2nd June 2026, from 12:00 to 13:30 CEST (UTC+2) Venue: Casa de América, Salón Simón Bolivar (Plaza de la Cibeles s/n, Madrid).
The report of CAF (development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean) analyses one of the main challenges facing Latin America and the Caribbean: stagnant economic growth and low productivity. Based on this diagnosis, it proposes a strategic agenda built around three key pillars to foster more sustainable, competitive, and inclusive growth in the region: innovation, integration, and formalization.
It also examines how demographic, digital, and green transitions are reshaping development opportunities, highlighting the potential of sectors linked to clean energy, critical minerals, and new technologies, as well as the importance of strengthening international partnerships to close investment, knowledge, and productivity gaps.
