The Elcano Global Presence Index is an annual measurement of the effective positioning in absolute terms of 110 countries based on three dimensions (economic, military and soft). This is the 6th year that Elcano is producing the Report. The 2018 Report has a special focus on the global presence of African countries.
The launch included presentations by:

- Manuel Gracia Santos, Analyst on the Elcano Global Presence Index project.
- Elizabeth Sidiropoulos, Chief Executive of the South African Institute of International Affairs.
