Clara Martínez-Toledano is Professor of Financial Economics at the Imperial College London and Coordinator of the Wealth Inequality Series at the World Inequality Lab. Her research interests focus on public finance, household finance, macroeconomics and political economy. 

She is also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the CESifo Research Network, as well as a Research Fellow at the EU Tax Observatory and Senior Fellow (Inequality and Fiscal Policy) at the Esade Centre for Economic Policy. Previously, she was Visiting Research Scholar at Columbia Business School. 

Martínez-Toledanoholds a PhD in Economics and a Master in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics, and a Master in Economic Analysis and a BA in Economics from the Carlos III University of Madrid. She is the author of several books and numerous publications.
