Elcano Royal Institute rated Europe’s ninth best think tank and world’s 15th according the University of Pennsylvania’s ratings.

The Elcano Royal Institute retains its position as Spain’s leading think tank and Western Europe’s ninth best. However, in the Foreign Policy and International Relations category it is up eight places to number 15 and is thus now among the world’s 20 most influential according to the 2018 Global Go To Think Tanks Index (GGTTI), released on an annual basis by the University of Pennsylvania.

The Elcano Royal Institute has thereby continued to consolidate its steady rise in the University of Pennsylvania’s ratings, once again confirming its role as Spain’s leading institution in the field of international relations, with a sustained improvement in its position in this category over the past years, climbing from number 32 in 2015 and number 23 in 2017 to its current place among the world’s 20 best think tanks.

The 2018 Global Go To Think Tanks Index Report is available at the University of Pennsylvania website.
