Venue: Palacio de la Aljafería
Wednesday, 10th June 2026, from 17:00 to 19:30 CEST (UTC+2) Venue: Palacio de la Aljafería – Calle de los Diputados s/n, Zaragoza.
The war in Ukraine and the military threat from Russia constitute a systemic challenge that affects both the European security architecture and the internal cohesion of the European Union. This threat is not limited to the conventional sphere, but also incorporates hybrid dimensions, such as cyberattacks and disinformation, which in recent years has driven an accelerated reconfiguration of the defence, and resilience policies of Member States and of the Union itself.
The conference aims to analyse the different dimensions of this threat from a geostrategic and international law perspective, as well as to discuss the European response within the framework of NATO, the progressive development of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy, and the strengthening of industrial capabilities in the military sphere. It will also address possible future scenarios for European security.
