The Spanish Committee of the World Energy Council (Comité Español del Consejo Mundial de la Energía, CECME) celebrated a new edition of its now traditional Annual Conference under the title: “Global Energy: strategies and values”. Organised by the CECME and the Spanish Energy Club (ENERCLUB), with the priceless collaboration of the Elcano Royal Institute (Real Instituto Elcano, RIE) and with the sponsorship of Repsol, this event took place on 20th November at the Auditorium of the Repsol Campus in Madrid.
In the Opening Session we had the pleasure of having the participation of the Secretary of State for Trade in the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Jaime García-Legaz Ponce, and also of Antonio Brufau Niubó and Pedro Miró Roig, Chairmen of Repsol and ENERCLUB respectively. During the Plenary Session entitled “Energy as a key aspect in the globalization process”, Emilio Lamo de Espinosa, Chairman of RIE, had a debate with the Chair of the CECME, Arturo Gonzalo Aizpiri.
