Ana María Martín is coordinator of the Elcano Royal Institute’s Office in Brussels. Over the past decade, she has consolidated her experience in communications and event management within EU-related organizations.

Before joining Elcano, she worked for the European Standardization Organizations (CEN and CENELEC) managing high-level conferences and stakeholder workshops. Prior to that, she also worked in communications and events at amfori, the global business association for open and sustainable trade, and at Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.

She began her career as a journalist for Spanish media outlets such as La Sexta TV and 20 Minutos. She holds a BA in Journalism from Carlos III University of Madrid and Nottingham Trent University (UK), and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid.
