Javier Ivars Pérez is Research Assistant (Common Foreign and Security Policy) at the Elcano Royal Institute.

Previously, he worked as a Public Affairs and Institutional Relations consultant at the international firm Kreab Worldwide, where he carried out analysis and advisory tasks for companies and institutions on national and European policies.

Among other experiences, he has participated in the Common Future Conversations program at Chatham House and in the Strategic Studies Group Hilary Term Wargame 2021 at the University of Oxford. Additionally, between 2021 and 2022, he worked as part of the European Solidarity Corps in the development of the local community and civil society in Dublin.

Ivars holds a degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Valencia and is currently studying for a master’s degree in Political Analysis, Public Policies and International Politics at the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
