Patrizia Cogo Morales is Project Manager and Research Assistant at the Elcano Royal Institute’s Office in Brussels, and Project Officer at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy of the Brussels School of Governance. She has worked at the EsadeGeo-Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics (in the team of Dr. Javier Solana), the European Institute of the Mediterranean, and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She holds a dual degree in Law and Global Governance from Esade, and a master’s in International Relations, Security and Development from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with exchange programmes in Jerusalem and New Delhi. She was also Lead Co-Founder and President of the European Guanxi network. She has contributed to South China Morning Post, The Diplomat, and China Observers in Central and Eastern Europe, inter alia.


Research areas: EU-China relations, EU-India relations, Sino-Indian relations, the security dynamics in the Indo-Pacific, NATO-China nexus.
