Activities
To fulfil its aims, the Elcano Royal Institute conducts a broad range of activities:

  • It organises round tables, conferences, presentations, seminars and bilateral forums. The need today for a network of contacts between institutions and individuals has led the Institute to cooperate, by means of such events, in establishing channels of communication to promote the development of international and strategic studies.

  • It produces Working Papers of an academic analytical nature and Analyses of the Elcano Royal Institute, known in abbreviation as ARIs. By this means the Institute studies and analyses international developments on all fronts to see to what extent they are likely to affect Spain.

  • It pursues other publishing initiatives, such as the Barometer and the e-mail newsletters, together with books and reports published on an ad hoc basis.

  • It posts all these works and, where relevant, those of other organisations on its website, www.realinstitutoelcano.org.
