Latin America and the Caribbean will grow by around 5% this year, according to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). Despite substantial improvement over the last quarter-century, the region continues to show less dynamism than the rest of the developing world. It was presented by the Latin American and Caribbean Demographic Centre (CELADE) - Population Division of the ECLAC.
